Sad to report that yesterday there was a Metrolink crash with a freight train in the Los Angeles area. The death toll has risen to 23, and injured is about 130. The cause of the crash was a negligent conductor. Investigation have uncovered that the conductor was texting on a cell phone (my number one pet peeve)  just seconds before the crash. Then you look at the recent Hurricane Ike, that hit Galveston, Texas and only killed 4. Really makes you think about the fate and destiny of some people. Also, made me realize that human error killed more than, mother nature. Mother nature is an uncontrollable force, but human error can be prevented with care. My prayers go out to all who lost their lives in both tragedies.
